Ship notes

What shipped, dated.

A note when something real ships — new surfaces, wave results, changed verdicts. No content calendar. Verdicts that change, change in the claims ledger first.

Wave 5 — the durable-moat wave

The full Wave-5 benchmark set is published: durable TPC-C at 10.69× SQLite-FULL and 4.43× Postgres-SyncOn on datacenter NVMe (RPO=0 matched, both sides); the 9-competitor durable crud sweep (5.2× SurrealDB's own RocksDB on their own tool); the first real branching head-to-head (Dolt 2.1.10 — leading all three sub-axes); and the first real-corpus vector result (SIFT-1M: 4.5× pgvector at matched recall, ~1.3× behind Qdrant — published).

Losses published alongside: OLAP aggregation (DuckDB leads), vector index build wall-clock (single-threaded by design), the Qdrant query gap. Every row with date, SHA, and reproduction command in the claims ledger.

MCP-native

The built-in MCP server shipped: Streamable HTTP + stdio transports, six typed tools (query, explain, vector_knn, full_text_search, blend, audit_log), the live schema as a resource. Every MCP call runs the same authorization, audit, and tenancy gates as SQL.
